Eligibility & Selection Process
The GVG programme operates with strict biometric verification and anti-nepotism protocols to ensure that federal funds reach only the truly indigent and vulnerable citizens of Nigeria.
Core Qualification Thresholds
National Social Register (NSR) Listing
The primary pool of beneficiaries is extracted from the NSR compiled by NASSCO through Community-Based Targeting (CBT). Households classified under poorest quantiles automatically qualify for consideration.
Confirmed Physical or Sensory Disability
Citizens living with mobility, hearing, vision, or cognitive impairments confirmed by accredited disability associations (JONAPWD) or LGA social welfare assessments.
Zero Age Limit Rule
Unlike conventional youth employment schemes, GVG has NO age ceiling or floor. Elderly senior citizens (65+), widows with dependents, and orphaned youths are fully eligible.
Conflict or Natural Disaster Displacement
Displaced individuals housed in formal IDP camps or verified by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and State Emergency Management Agencies (SEMA).
How Beneficiaries Are Enrolled
Community Identification
Grassroots enumeration through traditional rulers & CBT field officers
Biometric Verification
NIN & BVN biometric de-duplication to prevent duplicate claims
Needs Profiling
Assessment of assistive devices, mobility aids, or cash grant category
Direct Disbursement
Automated payment deposited directly to verified bank accounts or wallets
Official Anti-Fraud & Integrity Notice
GVG enrollment is completely FREE OF CHARGE. The Federal Government of Nigeria and NSIPA do NOT charge any processing, registration, or screening fees. Report any official demanding gratification to the official desk via email at support@gvg.gov.ng.
